Capturing the impossible with basic gear.

The engraving on this glass looks amazing when viewed up close. No need for an expensive macro lens. Just adding an extension tube to a basic lens gets you much closer. Alternatively switch to macro mode on a compact or phone.

When there are bars or a fence in the way.

This image of a tiny bird is taken through a double glazed window. There are also net curtains in the window. By zooming in and focusing manually, the nets vanish giving an amazing background.
